Small town Zelienople Going Going Gone

Whats going to happen to our town?
Glade Run Lutheran has many small signs down route 68, and if you stop to read the tiny print they are trying to rezone the farmland. I have heard they want to build approx. 366 patio and townhomes, 189 single family homes, and a business park with a 3 story/60,000 sf office building on that land.
Now try to get into and out of Zelie in the am and pm-it's a bottleneck. Let's add 500 more cars to the mix.
Zelienople will be Cranberry Jr.

It's called show me the money. People don't care about land that sits still they want to make money from it. It's sad. I moved to Cranberry wehn their was nothing and now look at it. I just hope that they try to preserve green space around the area.
You're right, it is show me the money but not every land owner is just looking for the money, many small farmers in the area just can't afford to keep the land anymore. We might be paying almost $4 a gallon for milk at the store but the farmers see very little of that, and with the price of fuel, fertilizer and other needs along with the sky high taxes on the land, they just can't afford to hold on to the property.
I come from a farming family that still has a farm in Zelienople, it breaks my heart to think about what's going to happen to all the land that I grew up on in the next few years. It's going to be covered in two story cookie cutter houses. I hate it, but it's reality.
